Rustenburg Girls’ Junior School (RGJS) is a school leading the way in preparing girls to embrace the challenges of the present confidently and courageously and to excel in a continuously changing world.

We believe learning is important and that the ability to benefit from education is highly dependent on a quality and holistic environment. The knowledge and skills learned in the classroom are linked to the life lessons learned during sports, music, cultural and community service activities. A bursary programme has been running for a number of years, but in 2019, the School Governing Body initiated and formalised a Grade R Bursary Programme to assist and enable learners who are in financial need. Partnering with the parents/guardians of the learner to support this Programme provides learners, who would otherwise not have the opportunity, access to such education.

Bursary applications for 2026 open on 17 March 2025 and closes 16 April 2025.
